Introduction

From the PhD to baking in my free time.

It all really started with a search for hobby to do during my PhD. As the years in academia started to accumulate I went on a search to find a hobby to fulfill a certain aspect of life. As I kept searching and searching, most hobbies cost ALOT. A good friend of mine was getting into baking and guess what? he had some starter he was willing to share.

Having a buddy to bounce ideas from was a big deal. I would actually say a big reason both of us succeeded in making really good bakes is because of the baking support system we had. A big part of why I wanted to create this website is to have guide for everyone and have a place where if you have questions, I am more than happy to answer.

Now to the second part of this whole idea, Neuroscience. Anatomy and Neuroscience are another big part of my life. I love teaching and have done it/trained in Gross Anatomy and Medical Neuroscience for a few years. I want to try to uses to skills to “teach” about baking and neuroimaging. Much like baking neuroimaging follows a set of rules and guides that if you don’t follow you will never get good results.
